They suffered consistent defeats at the hands of mediocre European teams. It felt like sheer fortune got them to the Euros this time!
In their first group, they managed to surpass Greece and Bosnia. Yet, they couldn't hold their own against Italy in their opening match, with 3 goals slipping through. The second phase, however, presented a much more favorable group due to Poland's key players being sidelined with injuries. Montenegro kept their composure and remained unbeaten against their rivals. But it still begs the question, is this team ready to make a real challenge here? In their first match against Romania, they started strong, even struck first, but lacked the resilience. Romania applied relentless pressure throughout the match and ultimately got the better of them in the dying minutes.

The Danish team is undeniably formidable at the moment. They bring a wealth of experience from these tournaments to the table. During qualifications, they were consistently victorious. Even against Spain, they played proactively in the second half, creating numerous chances! While they faltered in execution, the quality of their play was impressive, and Buur was phenomenal between the posts.
Montenegro finally boasts a promising generation that has made its way to the European Championship. Alas, in the qualifiers, they were soundly defeated by Italy. Their opening match performance was dismal, capitalizing on only a single opportunity, and mostly on the defensive, unable to counterattack. During the second half alone, Romania bombarded them with 18 shots! Vukcevic was nowhere to be seen, making no impact.
