John Tortorella's team faced some challenges during the initial rounds of the Stanley Cup, pulling off victories against Utah and Anaheim with a 4:2 scoreline, yet they impressively swept Colorado 4:0 in the semi-finals, which was quite unexpected. In terms of the finals, the "Knights" have mostly dominated their last three matchups, having not lost a single game within regulation time.
What's striking is that Vegas has had 13 playoff games going over the 5.5 total, and if you look at the top 5 goal-scorers, four of their players are listed. Theodore stands at 5th with 16 points (6+10), while the rest land in the top three: Howden holds 17 (13+4), Eichel achieves 20 (2+18), and Marner is the clear leader with 28 points (10+18).

In the second match, the "Hurricanes" turned the tables from a 0:2 deficit, yet conceded again, taking the game into overtime where Jarvis netted the decisive goal. However, it was the third match that truly stood out; Hurricanes were trailing 0:4 but then scored 3 goals within a remarkable span of 39 seconds (Martinook, Hall, and Staal) from the middle of the third period, and Svechnikov equalized in the dying moments to force another OT. Unfortunately, this time they lost, marking their first postseason OT loss in 7 attempts.
As for their scorers, Blake remains in the top 6 with 16 points (5+11), alongside Hall who ranks with 17 (6+11).
Prediction
No doubt, the last encounter between these two teams is in a league of its own, not just because of the 9 goals scored (something not yet seen in this series) but due to the 0:4 comeback orchestrated by the "Knights". Looking at their head-to-head history, the teams have never scored less than 5 goals in the previous 7 outings, and managed to breeze past the 5.5 total in 5 games, 4 of which were the most recent ones.
Throughout the playoffs, Golden Knights have had 13 matches ending in an "over" result, while Carolina only 6, but have also played fewer games. As for the key argument in favor of betting the over, aside from the safety net of going over 5, one could argue that in the finals neither team has scored less than a combined 6 goals.
